Modern Synthetic Methods & Chiral Europe
Reaction to Reality
21 - 23 May 2008, Algarve, Portugal
This conference has been designed to provide discovery, medicinal and process chemists with a forum to meet with academia to discuss novel organic synthetic methods useful in research and development. The focus is on key transformations such as carbon-carbon bond forming reactions, oxidation and reduction, formation and reactions of heterocyclic molecules, biotransformations and bioprocessing technologies etc. There will also be one day devoted to chiral technology, focusing on new science and the latest developments in chiral chemistry. Topics include: asymmetric chemocatalysis, biocatalysis, new analytical and separation techniques and the development of important chiral pharmaceuticals.
The Design, Development and Scale-Up of Safe Chemical Processes and Operations
Principles and Practice
10 - 12 June 2008, Southampton, UK
This course is designed for chemists, chemical engineers, Managers and anyone whose responsibilities include safety or risk assessment of chemical processes or building safety into chemical process scale-up. Provided in association with Chilworth Technology, this 3 day course considers hazard control of new chemical processes through their development cycle, from early development, through to full-scale production.
Heterocyclic Synthesis in Modern Chemistry
Retrosynthesis & Practice
26 - 27 June 2008, Nice, France
This is a new 2-day course which has been designed specifically for chemists who have a basic understanding of the principles of aromatic heterocyclic chemistry, and seek to develop their skills, using retrosynthetic analysis to advance their knowledge of the area.
