Apart from this newsletter, highlights from the literature appear in,
- Organic Process R & D every issue
- Green Chemistry, published by the Royal Society of Chemistry (6 issues per year). The highlights are, of course, related to green issues but are of interest to process chemists.
- Chemistry in Industry, published by the Society for Chemical Industry, London. Highlights appear regularly, both applied (with some useful analytical techniques) and academic, with organic and organometallic papers.
- For a quick summary, look at MOS – Methods in Organic Synthesis, published by Royal Society of Chemistry. This abstracts all organic papers which have some synthetic utility and covers a wide range of journals including some quite obscure ones. The abstracts are brief – just a simple reaction scheme with reagents and occasionally a line or two of comment, but very useful for quick scanning (see http://www.rsc.org/mos)
RSC has another publication “Catalysts and Catalysed Reactions” which is in a similar format and of value to process chemists and engineers (http://www.rsc.org/catalysts).
