Alkyl-Alkyl Suzuki Cross Coupling with Unactivated Secondary Alkyl Chlorides
The group of Greg Fu at MIT has been studying the Suxuki reaction for a number of years and have come up with interesting new catalysts for coupling alkyl halides. In a recent paper (Lu Z and Fu G, Angew Chem Int Ed, 2010, 49, 6676) they have extended the coupling reactions to secondary alkyl chlorides. A wide range of substrates were successful.
