Krister Zetterberg gained his PhD at Royal Institute of Technology
in Stockholm and spent a post doctorial year at Colorado State
University with Professor Louis S. Hegedus.
Back at Royal Institute of Technology, Krister has devoted his efforts to research and lecturing. The research has mainly been in the field of organometallic chemistry with emphasis to the chemistry of the late transition metals.
The lecturing has comprised courses in organic chemistry at various levels from elementary courses to advanced. Throughout the courses a major concern has been to make organic chemistry appear as a more rational and coherent topic than usually believed. Krister has also been giving courses in organometallic chemistry and catalysis, mainly for graduate students. Krister has several times been honoured as the ”Teacher of the Year” at the chemistry section of the Royal Institute of Technology.
For six years Krister has worked part time at Pharmacia Corporation in Stockholm on optimisation, scale up, trouble-shooting and specialist areas. Today, Krister is related to Pfizer as a consultant.
