A 5 day course for Industrial Chemists in Research & Development
This course, presented by a group of talented, enthusiastic, academics from European Universities, will concentrate on synthetic organic chemistry, stressing the important literature of 2001-2007, highlighting those which will be of importance to chemists in industry.
The aim is not to catalogue every new reaction, but to illustrate new concepts, principles, methodology and strategy as well as new reagents for organic synthesis. The course is intensive, but in a relaxed, informal atmosphere which makes for an enjoyable 5 days.
The comprehensive course manual, containing all the information presented, enables maximum literature coverage with the minimum of note taking. References to all materials presented are included in the manual.
The tutorials allow the lecture material to be enhanced by application to problems in organic synthesis.
The participant/tutor ratio is kept at about 6:1 to ensure fruitful interactions. As a result, the numbers attending are strictly limited.
This course complements the “Contemporary Strategies in Organic Synthesis” course with minimal overlap.
The organisers reserve the right to change the published programme of events and course content as circumstances dictate.
