Training FAQ's

Below are some of the most frequently asked questions about our training courses. If you have any other questions, please contact us.

What do we need to bring to the course?

arrow
Just bring yourself! You will be provided with a pen/pencil, course manual and paper. If you would like to bring your own notebook and pen – that’s entirely up to you.

Is there any pre-course reading or information before the event?

arrow
No – you will be given a book containing all the course material when you arrive at the venue – this will provide all the information you need.

What should I wear?

arrow
We suggest casual attire or something comfortable. You do not need to wear a jacket and tie. We suggest you bring a jumper or sweater, as sometimes the training rooms may vary in temperature.

Are meals provided?

arrow
We reserve bedrooms in the hotel, some of which include breakfast. The course will include morning and afternoon coffee breaks and lunch on each day. We also arrange for a course dinner on the first night of the event.

What venues do you use?

arrow
We usually book a hotel in an area close to an international airport. You will be sent a link to the venue so you can see what facilities they have eg swimming pool, gym, restaurants etc.

Will I get a certificate of attendance?

arrow
Yes – all our course attendees will receive a ‘Certificate of Attendance’ which can be used towards your Continuing Professional Development.

What type of people attend the courses?

arrow
Most of our courses are attended by industrial organic chemists. Some are fairly recently out of university, whilst others have more experience but may be transferring to a different area in their company. Typically our attendees have a degree in chemistry or have worked as a technician with several years experience.

How many people typically attend the course?

arrow
The number of people to attend vary: for a very specialised course the number could be just 4-5 but most of our courses attract 10-20 people.

Will there be any workshops?

arrow
Yes – most of our courses include time for problem sessions or group work.

What course material will be provided?

arrow
You will receive a folder containing most of the slides presented during the course. This will include key references for the future.

Is accommodation included in the course fee?

arrow
No – but when you register you will be sent an accommodation booking form for the venue, so you can book your requirements at the special group rate.
